The new route starts in Alexandria, the Mediterranean’s largest seaport city, and heads south to Cairo, Egypt’s bustling capital. From there, riders will leave behind the modern world and venture deep into the Western Desert for a serene and soul-stirring ride through three of Egypt’s renowned oases: Bahariya, Dakhla, and Kharga. Along the way, they’ll navigate diverse terrains and witness the surreal beauty of Egypt’s Black and White Deserts.
After traversing a vast section of the North African Sahara, the challenge turns east toward Luxor—the capital of ancient Egypt and the world’s greatest open-air museum. A rest day in Luxor offers the participants a chance to explore the city’s unmatched archaeological wonders.
The journey then continues across the Egyptian Eastern Desert, known for its rugged rock formations and towering mountain ranges—making it one of the most challenging stretches of the ride. This leg leads to the Red Sea towns of Hurghada and Ain Sokhna, where riders can unwind with a scenic coastal experience.
The final leg of the season takes riders from Ain Sokhna back to Cairo, where the season will come to a grand close beneath the Red Pyramid of Dahshour—one of the oldest and most significant pyramids in Egypt, and a fitting end to a journey through time and terrain.
